The Hall is set amongst the beautiful rolling valleys of the Wiltshire countryside. We boast Lords and Ladies on our doorstop along with a fantastic array of wild animals at one of Britain's biggest and best safari parks - Longleat. Lord Bath (the owner of Longleat Safari Park and Horningsham Village) supports the local hall and is often seen at our annual village fayre. Although the hall is set in the village, the hall is welcoming to all who visit.
The hall itself is a beautiful building looking out onto the sports field (also for hire) and is perfect for a wedding reception, christening or any type of party. Although the hall is well established the modern facilities inside, allow any function to take place stress free and as it is suitably decorated, it invites you to fill a blank canvas however it suits you and your personal needs.
One wedding booking described the hall as follows: "Using Horningsham Village Hall was like booking a slice of the old-time countryside with a twist of modern facilities. The views alone made our wedding pictures a delight to display and gave us memories we will cherish"
The main hall is our largest room with a large stage to the rear (with a PA unit available). All tables and chairs are available for 100 people and included in the price and can be set up to your own personal taste. The room has a clean wooden floor perfect for dancing or yoga and able to seat 100 or 160 standing.

The Horningsham Village Fayre takes place on the village sports field on the second Sunday of June each year. A very traditional village fayre, it attracts several thousand visitors who enjoy the events and games, as well as the relaxed and relatively uncommercial atmosphere. Entry is free. Profits from the Fayre are distributed among village organisations and are an important source of their funding.
The Horningsham Luncheon Club was started in 1982 and has been running successfully every Thursday in the Village Hall with the help of volunteer cooks, helpers in the kitchen and waiting on tables. For the princely sum of £4.00 the members enjoy a main course, pudding and a cup of tea.
The club was founded for the older generation of Horningsham so they could enjoy a good lunch and companionship. Nowadays the members come from the surrounding area and most have connection to Horningsham.
We are always looking for cooks and helpers to keep the Luncheon Club thriving. If anyone is willing to help cook or wait on tables please get in touch and I will put you on the rota. The more volunteers we have the less times you would be required to help.

Cricket has been played in Horningsham at least since 1861, when the Warminster Herald reported on a match against Longbridge Deverill, a two innings game that ended in a tie, with Longbridge Deverill all out for 52 in their second innings chasing 53 to win. This was probably an under arm game, being played three years before over arm bowling was legalised in 1864.
In the 1950s and 1960s the home ground was by Longleat House. It moved to its present location behind the Village Hall in 1977.
Today the club plays roughly 60 games a year, up to three times a week, all friendlies, supported by a large pool of players of all ages from 13 to 78, all abilities, and both men and women. The matches are mostly in Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset, but the club can easily be tempted to travel further to play on a beautiful ground; it frequently tours Devon, Cornwall and Northumberland, and has also travelled to Scotland and recently Thailand. The club does not play league cricket, finding the atmosphere too competitive, and in conflict with the club's ethos that having fun is more important than winning. The squad includes twelve players who live in Horningsham, a further six who used to, five more who have connections through work or school, a dozen like minded friends from Frome, Warminster and other nearby villages, and any number of ringers when we are short.
